A great article that puts this stuff in perspective.
Funny, only slightly related, sidenote: I was just thinking how interesting it is that one the web “business” is such a touchy subject. Folks seem to hate it when someone wants to protect their interest, yet the people who cry the most are the ones (not surprisingly) who’s bottom-line is taking the biggest hit.
I’ve been saying for years that the web needs to get comfortable making money, protecting assets, etc. This is, in essence, what Facebook, Apple and Adobe are doing and I have a hard time faulting them for it. Even if Facebook’s changes, including those I sort of like, scare the shit out of me.
